The Big Book of Bootleg Horror: Volume 2
Langhorne Entry: Stephen Clements - "Going Home"
In this massive collection of horror stories, one of Stephen’s funniest stories made the cut. “Going Home” is the story of an occult researcher’s dream come true: coming face to face with a fallen angel and getting the answers to EVERYTHING. This Lovecraftian hubris tale and the answers about the lost past of humanity and Creation revealed may unsettle you.

Sci-Fan Magazine Issue 3: Beyond Science Fiction & Fantasy
Langhorne Entry: Stephen Clements - "Sterick"
As the lead story in this magazine dedicated to Science Fantasy, “Sterick” was bound to be received with controversy: a very bad man has to search the realm of the dead for his ghost friend in the aftermath of a catastrophe, the cause of which Stephen knew would evoke either tears or rage from his readers. But, one astute reviewer on Amazon still could not contain his praise for the work:
“Sterick is an immortal supernatural being-- though his exact nature is never revealed. Is he a vampire? A demon? A fallen angel? Something else? Whatever Sterick is, he has done terrible things. Things that have forced him to flee into the darkness because anyone who knew the truth would want to destroy him. Even the name “Sterick” is just the pseudonym he uses when talking to the dead through the arcane machinery he has created, for if the ghosts knew his true name, even they would turn on him.
In this tale Sterick comes to the aid of one such ghost who needs him to investigate the sudden appearance of terrifying new beings into the underworld. The rather jarring ending of the story will certainly be polarizing depending on the reader’s moral opinions on particular contemporary issues. It also makes unfortunate reference to a recent controversy in the news that has been debunked on multiple occasions. (editor's note – it hasn’t been debunked, despite the wishes of some)
Aside from this awkward ending, though, this is a delightfully eerie piece of gothic horror. I hope Mr. Clements will show us more of Sterick’s world.”
